Input collector

Create an Input collector for efficient data collection via telephony systems.

Organization Settings → Telephony System → Response Groups → Input Collector

Additionally, Input collectors integrate seamlessly with Insights webhooks , allowing the collected information to be passed on to your systems for analysis or follow-up.

Create an Input collector

  1. Go to Telephony System → Response Groups → Input Collector
  1. Click Create new input collector
  1. Activate the function
  1. Enter the following settings:

Name and display name

  • The name is mandatory.
  • Display name is optional and is displayed in connection with collected input

Webhook connection

  • Connect to a webhook to forward collected data to Insights or external systems

Activation

  • Define which button the caller presses to activate input collection
  • Set timeout (number of seconds to wait for button press)
  • Write an activation message, for example:

    "Press star to enter customer number."

Input collection

  • Specify the minimum and maximum number of digits the user must enter
  • Set timeout for how long the system waits for input
  • You can choose whether the caller should end with a pound sign (#)

Input message (optional)

  • Played before input begins, for example to provide instructions

Confirmation message (optional)

  • Played after successful entry

Join response group

Once your Input collector is created, you can connect it to a response group:

  1. Go to Telephony System → Answering Groups
  1. Click on Input Collector
  1. Choose which collector you want to connect to
  1. Click Save

The selected collector will now be activated before the caller reaches the queue.

Collected input is also displayed in toasts for incoming calls and in the dialer .
