What we recommend
Whether you are starting from scratch or already have teams etc. We always recommend, when creating a new, to start in this order:
- Create a team, e.g. Team Support
- Create the channels, e.g. General, first line, second line, known issues
- Create the role and assign it with the right team, channels and permissions
When you do it this way it's much easier when creating a new user. When you do it, all you need to do, is assign the right role to a user and they will get access to the predefined teams and channels with the right permissions.
