Who can send an SMS?
- Users can per default send system SMS to zone A from their own number
- Users who are part of a response group that allows SMS from display numbers can send SMS from there

You can send new SMS from the contact page, call log, and via the plus button
-

- Enter number, choose contact or contact group to send to
- Write your message
- Click send
-
You can of course send SMS from the app on your mobile, if you want to use the mobile's native SMS you toggle on "send SMS from the mobile"
- Click on new SMS
- Choose number to send from
- Enter number, choose contact or contact group to send to
- Write your message
- Click send
Please note that SMS are sent from the system and not from a user's mobile subscription, this means that every sent SMS incurs a cost.
Select default number as sender
Click Personal settings -> Phone & conference -> SMS -> Choose number in the list -> Click save
Receive SMS
-
- Sent from fixed number: If someone responds to an SMS you sent from your fixed number, you will either get a call that reads the message or have it delivered to your mobile number (requires SMS-forwarding activated)
- Sent from your mobile number: replies are received as a regular SMS
-
Whether it is possible to receive SMS on a fixed number varies from operator to operator. Some allow it and others deliver it in the form of a call that reads the message. We recommend a custom ID to circumvent this.
- If you have sent an SMS from a custom ID, such as "The Company", the recipient cannot respond, which means that you cannot receive an SMS.
