Surveys 101

Complete guide to Survey: create surveys, manage participants, and analyze results.

Step 1 – Who has access to Survey?

  • All organizations, regardless of switch package, can purchase the additional service.
  • Pro users can use the license.

Step 2 – Open Survey

  • Click the Survey icon in the menu to open the tool.

Step 3 – What is Survey?

  • A tool for creating and conducting unlimited surveys .

Step 4 – Licenses

  • License type: Survey .
  • The license is not tied to a specific user → it can be moved at any time.
  • However, two users cannot share the same license at the same time.
  • To purchase licenses, Account permission is required.

Step 5 – Question types in Survey

You can create surveys with several different types of questions:

  • Yes/No
  • Radio buttons
  • Checkboxes
  • Free text
  • Likert scale
  • Semantic scale (5 or 7 answers)
  • Visual analog scale
  • Selector
  • Date, Time, Number input
  • Matrix questions

Survey teams

What is a Survey team?

  • A place where the survey is published.
  • Only team members can view and edit.
  • Each team has its own templates, participant lists, mailings and results.

Change Survey team

  1. Click on the team at the top.
  1. Choose the team you want to work in.

Survey templates

Create a new template

  1. Click the plus sign .
  1. Give the template a name (e.g. NPS).
  1. Add welcome message .
  1. Add content (questions, images, media).
  1. Under Advanced settings you can:
    • Enable thank you message.
    • Choose numbered questions.
  1. Click Done .
  1. Click Preview to see the result.
  1. Click Save .

Edit templates

  • Click the pen icon to make changes.
  • Click the copy icon to duplicate a template and give it a new name.

Participant lists

Create a new list

  1. Click the plus sign .
  1. Name the list (e.g. customer list).
  1. Add participants (manually, from contacts, import from file or paste).
  1. Add variables if necessary (optional).
  1. Click Save .

Edit list

  • Change name.
  • Add participants ( the plus sign ).
  • Remove participant ( the cross ).
  • Edit participants ( pen icon ).
  • Delete the list: expand → click Delete → confirm with Yes .

Survey mailing

Create mailing

  1. Click the plus sign .
  1. Name the mailing.
  1. Choose a template or create a new one.
  1. Choose between open or closed survey.
  1. Add participants (e.g. from a list).
  1. Specify whether the survey should be anonymous .
  1. Choose whether BankID verification is required.
  1. Select invitation method.
  1. Set any reminders.
  1. Adjust advanced settings.

Delete mailing

  1. Expand the mailing.
  1. Click Delete .
  1. Click Yes .

Participants can then no longer respond, but responses already received are saved.

Results

Show results


  1. Expand a survey.
  1. Under Participation , click View Results .
  1. Filter on all or selected participants (not anonymous survey).

Unanswered

  • Click Download list of unanswered questions to download an Excel file.
  • Via the menu ( three dots ) you can:
    • Open the survey as a participant.
    • Copy link.
    • Please resend the invitation.
    • Send comment.

Variable-based results

  • Click on the file to download the results.

Download Excel

  • Click on XLS under results.

Delete results

  • You can delete results permanently.
  • Recommendation: always download the answers beforehand to save for future use.

Delete content

Here you can mass delete:

  • Survey templates
  • Participant lists
  • Survey mailing
  • Results
